De-mould, Print and Inspection Cell

Robotic assembly cell

Designed and manufactured to stand at the side of an injection moulding machine for the purpose of de-moulding and finishing plastic moulded parts, the cell comprises of a six axis robot with an attached end effector, a twin parallel conveyor comprising of transfer units, pallet stops and an inspection station.

Finishing machines for drilling, welding, printing, labelling etc., are positioned around the conveyor.

The cell pictured de-moulds four impressions of a moulded box with lid attached, loads them to the pallet conveyor which transports them for two colour printing and inspection by a vision system. The robot then unloads the printed boxes, closes the box lids, finally placing the four finished boxes to a exit conveyor. It does all this in twenty seconds!
